Be sure to check out the new trailer for yourself from the Qubi YouTube channel. New episodes will drop every weekday until the season finale on September 7. While FOX hasn’t yet locked in 9-1-1 and The Resident, they have renewed plenty of favorites, including 9-1-1: Lone Star, The Cleaning Lady, Call Me Kat, Welcome to Flatch, The Simpsons, Family. Reno 911! returns with 13 new episodes starting August 24. The service costs $5 per month, with ads, or $8 a month for the ad-free version. Despite raising $1.75 billion, and roping in tons of A-list talent for programming, the service has failed to catch on in the mainstream since its release earlier this year. Quibi is focused on content that is ten minutes or less per episode and is designed specifically for mobile devices. Instead, they opted to go the other direction, favoring shorter episodes on a new platform. Prior to the Quibi deal, Thomas Lennon had revealed that the cast had plans to reunite, possibly for another movie. A theatrically-released movie, Reno 911!: Miami, was released in 2007. The show debuted on Comedy Central in 2003, running for 88 episodes across six seasons before reaching its end in 2009. Reno 911! lets viewers ride shotgun with the courageous men and women of the Reno Sheriff's Department as they lay down the law and put it all on the line. The show was created by Garant, Kenney-Silver and Lennon. Guest stars this season include Toby Huss, Renee Albert, Morgan Lester, Deepti Gupta, Meagan Kong, Brian Phelps, Kate Lambert, Julie Brister, Julian Gant, Paul Walter Hauser, Rodney J Hobbs, Jenny Pellicer, Kulap Vilaysack, Ron Funches, Guy Stevenson, Chris Tallman, Irina Voronina, Jim Rash, Stephanie Beatriz and Jill Basey. Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon and Kerri Kenney-Silver, Niecy Nash, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Cedric Yarbrough, Carlos Alazraqui, Ian Roberts, Joe LoTruglio and Mary Birdsong star in the series. It had previously been revealed that Yankovic would be playing the rocker this season, but now we have a much better idea of what that is going to look like. One of the most over-the-top bits in the trailer involves the Reno officers encountering Ted Nugent, as portrayed by Weird Al Yankovic, in what is sure to be a much-discussed performance. It looks like vintage Reno 911! as things go off the rails with the most incapable members of law enforcement failing to do their jobs correctly, over and over again. We then get into a series of clips showcasing the antics coming our way in part 2 of the revival season. The trailer kicks off with Dangle holding a press conference.
